Women Shine At WIFA 2021 Gala Event.

From the ladies who wore their voguish dresses to the joyous moment with the winners of the Women in Film Awards 2021 (WIFA 2021), the night will always be nostalgic to the filmmakers who rendezvoused at the Kenya Cultural Centre (popularly known as Kenya National theatre).

This year's event saw five women in each of the different nineteen categories competing to be named as the top Women Changemaker in the Film industry in 2021.

As it goes by this year's theme The Woman Filmmaker Changing The Game indeed this year's competition was tensed with the quality of films Kenyan produces are gearing up to put out there. Some of the most competitive category Best Director film drama where eminent names were nominated ie Caroline Odongo (Selina), Fiddy Wambui, Janet Chumbe, Winnie Adisa(Martin Chronicles-Susan Diary), and Jennifer Gatero.

Wambui Gathee Love, Zawadi film director

Wambui Gathee's (winner Best Film Director WIFA 2021) film Love, Zawadi served the audience a great taste of Kenyan Films produced in 2020 while the lovely angelic honey voices of Tweletu band 

amazed the gathering. 

Chief Guest CAS Nadia Ahmed

In her words the chief guest CAS Nadia Ahmed  to be unapologetic about who they are, about what they can bring to the table, and about what makes them (women) who there are. A lot of time women shy away from being praised because the society has made us (women) if you brag it's too much, when you claim and own what you have it's too much and when you stand out for being beautiful you are not humble but it's time for women to rise and own it without being sorry for being a woman.
