Based on a True story.
This was an amazing film from Jade pictures a must compliment and definitely, it tells the actual livelihood in ghetto.
If you were to yank something from the film the story will win a thousand times and win an Emmy. The story follows the rise and fall of Mbogi Jombe an organized crime group run by slim, their escapades, and dealings with the police that lead to their extinction. Showing them that the drill never changes, crime will always lead to an early grave, and success stories will always have long stories behind them and short cuts are not a way to go.
Casting.
Jade Pictures have these thing Method acting which is their adage to every cast member joining the production. The casting of the film was outstanding even people with a single scene made their one minute memorable. The film director Mburu Wanyoike AKA Marley blow the crowd to a standing ovation with his one scene at the end of the film.
Mutua played by Boniface Vanja and Pepin played by the Film's producer Akin Pepin did a great job as cops in the film signifying how the cops collaborated with criminals only at the end to end their lives.

| From Left aith Chege Actor Blanda, Topha Line Producer, Julia Nduati cast, Mburu Wanyoike Director . |
Other outstanding characters were female leads Caro Played by Faith Mumbi Chege and Shan played by Julia Nduati, these two characters you should look out for.
Locations.
Kenya has the best locations when it comes to African films and Jade pictures knew how to use Mathare slum based in the heart of Nairobi city. Every Location defined the film.
Post Production
No one likes the editing room other than the editors, Colorists and Sound editors. Jacktone Alufwani did justice with the cuts and transitions of intro scenes which were well brought to life. Colorist Martin Muchiri did an awesome chore playing with color for the film.
The only film antagonistic review is lack subtitle, Sheng has really taken the space in our film industry and we are proud of it as we still watch Spanyol movies with pure Spanish. However, I believe the team will work on it before the next screenings and distribution.
Verdict.
While I watched Irishman it stood out for me as the best Gangster film in 2019. Now Kenya has Blanda which I was emotionally attached on the premiere. I would like to see the next project by the team because I had one of a kind experience watching this.
I highly recommend everyone to watch this film when it lands on cinemas and Video On Demand platforms.
